This week was our first week back from fall break. My classmates and the teachers seemed like they had enough rest while on break. At least I did! Our weekly routine picked back up just like it did before the break. Each morning we sign in, unpack our bags and do morning work before changing classes for different subjects.
My first class was Math with Mrs. Doerr. I had fun doing math centers and learning about the standard algorithm. Finally the type of math my parents understand! At 8:45 AM we changed class again to go to Social Studies class with Mrs. Mevissen. There we watched a video about Explorers. It was interesting and should be helpful on our upcoming test. Next we attended School Specials. Specials schedules are different daily and include library time, PE, writing and math labs. Next class was Language Arts with Mrs Mevissen who was also my Social Studies teacher. We learned alot about R.A.C.E writing strategy which is helping me with answering questions about reading.
Next was my favorite parts of the day. Lunch and recess!! I am usually really hungry by now and want to talk to my friends about kid stuff.
After recess we went to Science class with Mrs.Doerr who is also my Math teacher. We watched a Brain Pop video to learn about the water cycle. It was entertaining. Finally we went to our last class of the day which was Reading class with my homeroom teacher Mrs. Perryman. I loved creating fairy tales when we played Toontastic. I changed the fairy tale Princess and the Pea to include my baby sister's name Chloe!
After reading we packed up to go home. This weekend is our yearly Fall Festival. I sure hope that my classmates will come out and and support the school. I won't be able to attend because my little brother has a football game and our neighborhood is having a fall festival at the same time. Either way, I hope we all have a fun weekend.
