It’s Monday! First thing we did today was computer time for Math. We practiced skip count problems. In Social Studies, we read a passage about New England colonies. Afterwards, we color coded a map based on the New England’s thirteen colonies that included a legend. Then, we went Math lab to fill in a multiplication chart. Next in Science, we went over work we were going to do for the next day. Finally in Reading, we read chapters 4-7 in the book, George Washington’s Socks.
December 2, 2014
We checked our morning work. Then, we went to Ms. Johnson to work on a division problem and extension. In Social Studies, we went to Ms. Mevissen’s class and read a passage about colonial times and discussed in a group about the people and how they lived. Today in Art, we finished our line and shape fish. Then in Science, we cut out pictures of tools that meteorologists use to measure weather. Last but not least, we went to Mrs. Henderson to read about George Washington and put together a timeline of the most important events in his life.

We started our morning by checking our Math homework. Then, we solved division problems. Afterwards, we read more about colonial times. Next we went to computer lab and played on Stride Academy. In Science, we finished our math work. We read George Washington’s Socks again in Mrs. Perryman’s class and wrote a journal entry.

The first thing we did today in Math was checking our answers to our homework. Then, we started our math test. Next, in Social Studies, we watched a slideshow about the thirteen colonies. We answered questions on why, when, and what were their resources. Afterwards, we wrote a creative a story based on a picture of a small town on a snowy day in writing lab. In Science, we finished our Math test. After our Math test, we read another chapter of George Washington’s Socks. We wrote about the characters and what they did in the story.

Today we had a mock writing test for 2 hours. Then, we went to P.E. and played a game that had 2 teams that tried to knock down each other’s hula huts. Next we went into rotations and made elf ornaments for our Christmas tree at home. In our next rotation, we rewrote about the characters from Thursday’s reading work.
