ROVING REPORTER # 17
We are now in the second half of the school year. By now I am definately into the routine of things. Each morning we sign in, unpack bags, and do morning work before changing classes.
My first class was Math with Ms Doerr. This week we studied fractions by practicing shading in shapes on worksheets. Next class was Social Studies with Ms. Mevissen. We studied the power point on Colonial America. The review questions at the end of the power point was a good study guide for the test. Every day we attend a different Specials. This week I enjoyed checking out library books the most during Specials. Next class was Language Arts with Ms. Mevissen.
After the first half of the day had passed, Its time for lunch and recess. It rained all week and therefore we could not go outside for recess but we had inside recess which still allowed us to take a break from schoolwork. After lunch there was 2 more classes to change to. First class was Science with Ms. Doerr. In Science we watched a fun power point about Moon Phases. Last class of the day was Reading with my homeroom teacher Ms. Perryman. This week we participated in reading group rotations. I also had one on one reading time with Ms. Perryman where she used a timer to time my pace of reading. This was very a very good way to help me to read faster. I will make sure my mom uses a timer with me also.
After reading, we packed up to go home. Seems like we just returned back to school from the Christmas break and we are out once again Monday of next week for Martin Luther King Holiday. I plan on going to the parade in my home town and enjoying my day off. Before you know it, will be out for winter break too!!
