On Monday we walked into math class at 8:04am. The first thing that we did in the class was to go over the math worksheet from the last week. The teacher covered each question and went over each answer. I have to admit, I always get pretty nervous when we cover our homework. Once we finished, we went to centers. After centers, we went to Social Studies class where we glued in papers in our five subjects notebook, and then watched a video on the explorers. The next class was math lab where we worked on our math work on the computer. After math lab we went to language arts class where we worked on grammar homework and a language arts worksheet during the rest of the class. Soon after, it was time for Science class, one of my favorite classes. It’s true that I love to read and really enjoy stories, science is still one of my favorite subjects. During science class, we wrote down our homework and worked on our number talks. During the class we studied the water cycle and the many stages that make up the water cycle. We learned about how water would evaporate into the air from the sun, then clouds would fill with water from condensation. This water in the clouds would rain down the water and fill up the oceans giving us and the fish water to drink and swim! After Science class was over, went to Reading class where our teacher showed us an examples for our toontastic worksheets. I have to admit, not bad for a Monday!
Tuesday started out pretty much the same as our Monday, with Math class checking morning work and going to math centers. The group that I was in worked on our math worksheets given to us by our teacher. Once math class was over, we went to Social Studies class and corrected our Social Studies test that we had taken. Our teacher covered each answer so that we would see what we questions that we missed on the test. After we finished our test, we worked on coversheets for our explorer’s project for class. After class ended, we went to our specials class, which was art where we worked our class pumpkin for the Fall Festival and pictures for the fall season. After art, we then went to Language Arts class. During class, our teacher covered answers from the worksheet that we completed on Monday. The teacher covered the answers on the worksheet and we wrote the correct answers that we missed. After Language Arts, we went to Science class, where we glued together a sheet that we made for class. We worked on number talks and then worked on Science Centers. The last class of the day was Reading class where we worked in reading groups during the class. It was a pretty cool day over all with a ton of learning and a ton of fun!
Just like Monday and Tuesday, on Wednesday we started with Math class. The first thing we did was check our morning work. After morning work, we went to math center for the rest of the class. During Social Studies class, we read our Social Studies book and then went to Computer lab for our Specials class. This class is very fun because we get to play fun learning computer games for school. One game that is my favorite is First in Math. I’ve played this game at home to help me get better in math class! The next class was Language Arts class where we got to read our selected poem for the class. The teacher picked students to read their poem during this class that they had picked. The poem that I picked was “I Bought My Cat a Jet Pack” by Ken Nesbitt. The next class was Science class where we did our number talks and watched a brain pop video on the water cycle to help us learn more about the water cycle. The last class for the day was Reading where we did our reading centers. During reading centers, each of us read chapters in a chapter book. This was how Wednesday went.
On Thursday, we walked into Math class, where we checked our morning work and worked on a math test. After math, we went to Social Studies class where we worked on an activity sheet about the explorers and talked about them after we finished the work sheet. Specials class was next. In specials class we worked in our writing lab and on our class pumpkin for the Fall Festival on Saturday. After class, we went to Language Arts class were the class worked on reciting our poems. Once we finished reading our poems in the class, the teacher had us check our homework. After Language Arts class ended, we went to Science class and watched a Magic School Bus video on the Water Cycle and wrote down our homework for the class. The last class of the day was Reading class where we did our reading test. This was how our Thursday is each week.
We finally made it to Friday! On Friday, we walked to math class, watched a video and then completed our math test. After math class ended, we went to Social Studies and took a test on the stuff that we learned throughout this week. We went to specials class, which was PE and then we went to Language Arts and took a test in this class! The next two classes were Science and Math. In science we studied more on the Water Cycle and in Math class we finished our math test. Boy, that’s a lot of tests! After the math test, we turned in our homework for the week and worked on math activity. The last class of the day was reading. We worked in our reading centers and our chapter books helping us to become better readers. After reading class, we the school day ended!
This week was exciting for me because our Fall Festival was this Saturday. My mom worked on the fall festival so my brother Aiden and I got to help mommy get ready for the Fall Festival. This concludes my week as the Roving Report for Mrs. Perryman’s fourth grade class, I am Ava Notabartolo. Have a good weekend and a Happy Halloween!
