I am roving reporter number twenty one. Welcome to New Hope Nights roving reporter.We learned about a lot of different things this week.
First ,this week in math we are learning how to round on a number line.We are also learning how to subtract on a number line.Also Mrs . Doerr is teaching us place value.This week we had a quiz on rounding and place value. We switched groups three times the whole week.That is pretty much all we did all week.
Next, in social studies we are learning about Native Americans and all different kinds of tribes. The tribes that I learned about are the Inuit the Kwaiutal, the Nez perce and the Hopi. The Inuit built there homes out of ice and snow. The Kwakiutl ate deer, birds, fish and other sea animals.
Another one of my subjects is science.In science we are switching groups. The groups are Mrs.Adams Mrs. Doerr the spotlight book and the food web.We are learning about omnivores, herbivores, carnivores, decomposers and producers.
We end are day with reading.In reading we are learning how to close read and how to use the race strategy.We also are switching groups and they are Mrs . Perryman, Mrs.Cox, independent and buddy reading.The race strategy is R-restate, A- answer questions, C-cite evidence, and E-explain.
