For reading, our group was the padlet group. We were stating information and making connections. Some of the information was “Once one thing in the food chain goes extinct, the other animals get affected”. For math Mrs. Wilson taught us the finding factor skill “the rainbow”. She showed us this so we could use it for the future. We didn’t have science because math took too long. Instead of specials we had extra social studies.
Tuesday September, 1
For reading I fixed my novel studies. I read the notes Mrs. Perryman gave me, and started my extension. My novel studies will help me get prepared for summaries in the future. After reading, I practiced my t-chart skills. Then, Mrs. Perryman called me for testing. The testing helped my reading a little bit. When we got back to the room I finished my science vocabulary. After, I finished my science reflection. This helped me with my science vocab. When we got to computer lab I finished my Pawnee power point. After, I went on front row. I got better on my math and learned more about the Pawnee.
Wednesday September, 2
Today in reading class we started with interactive learning on the computer reading symbaloo. First, we read a passage about a problem in California and how beavers would be the solution. Then, we went on learn to earn. These activities will help me with reading quiz’s in the future. Mrs. Perryman did some group activities for us to get more practice on subtraction. This helped us with the subtraction algorithm. In social studies, for our exploratory group we gathered some information for our project. After gathering this information, we were better prepared for the first part of our project. First in science, for our exploratory group we read a passage about the ocean food web. Next, we created an ocean food web for the first part of our project. For specials we had music. Doctor Walker helped us with the veteran songs.
Thursday September, 3
After reading, I went to my math group. I watched a video with my friend Ethan. I learned that one thing you must or may use in finding factors is the communitive property. After social studies, for science I watched three videos on the computer. After that, I did two quizzes on the computer. This helped me on my biotic and abiotic vocab. For social studies I did my Seminole power point. This taught me more about the Seminoles. We had writing lab, but we had to catch up on science.
Friday September, 4
First for reading, we took the math test. I liked the finding factors part. I was able to test my skills. Next for math, I took the reading test for science. After, I finished my independent work. For social studies I started folding origami. It was for my extension. Last, we took our science test. I drew a food web and explained how in the food web the animals get their energy. For specials we did some independent work.
